CAR-LYN FOSSICKING & CAMPING PROPERTY MOUNT MORGAN
Car-Lyn Property is located just 5 minutes from my shop, Mount Morgan Outdoors in Morgan Street .
It is a 250 Acre block with old gold diggings and an abandoned mine shaft ( 5 Meters deep ), there are Old cattle yards and a Paper Bark tree lined water hole called ” Long Gully Water Hole ” with intermittent creels running down from the Mountain top.
A ring road circles the property taking you from the Camping Area that has a long drop toilet up around the property from about 180 meters above sea level to about 360 meters at the highest point where there are old prospecting workings.
Panoramic views of The Mount Morgan Mine, No 7 Dam and Mount Morgan can be seen from various points along the road. Many relics and coins have been found, Small alluvial gold specs have come from the creek flowing into Long Gulley Water Hole and a nice Gold Specimen in Quartz has been found on the side of the hill near old diggings.
The main cleared camp area has a large fire pit area, although you can camp anywhere on the property,
It is recommended to have a 4X4 Vehicle and be self sufficient ( Off Grid ) High Clearance vehicles can access with care and subject to weather conditions.
The $ 25 Fee covers access for one vehicle with up to 5 persons per day. If you wish to camp overnight there is no additional fee.
The ” Day “starts from Arrival Day until 10.00 am the next day unless otherwise arranged.
ADDITIONAL VEHICLES INCUR ANOTHER $ 25 FEE
